WHO, WHAT, WHY, When, wHERE, & how

Who am I?

I am J.J. Brookshire, a Christian, father, and husband. I'm also a retired Army Master Sergeant, former businessman with a history of success building brands and growing companies. I've lived in Ellis County for nearly 10 years where I've served as a State Delegate, Senate District Delegate, County Delegate, Precinct Chair, Election Judge, Deputy Voter Registrar, and Appraisal Review Board Panelist.

What does the Chair of the Ellis County Republican Party Do?

The Chairman of the Republican Party in Ellis County, Texas, acts as the elected leader of the Ellis County Republican Executive Committee (ECREC), which is the governing body of the local Republican Party with duties and responsibilities outlined by Texas Election Code, Texas Republican Party rules, and Ellis County Republican Party Bylaws. This is an unpaid position with a two year term. Most importantly the chair is responsible for leading the Republican Party in Ellis County.

Why am I running?

Ellis County is among the top 10 fastest growing counties in the United States with over 150,000 registered voters and saw close to 100,000 votes cast for President Trump in 2024. It is imperative for the Republican Party to welcome, inform, and engage these voters. This requires leadership based on a foundation of effective communication from the Chair. If elected, I will utilize all available means of communication available to include social media, streaming video, published office hours, hosted public events, and more. Communicate - Lead - Succeed!

When will the election take place?

Early voting in Ellis County will commence on February 17, and conclude on Friday, February 27, with Election Day scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Please note that you may register to vote up to 30 days prior to Election Day and vote in this election.

Where do I volunteer?

Your contribution will fuel voter outreach, event support, and marketing materials for the Republican efforts in Ellis County, to secure a stronger future. Please donate today—every dollar makes a difference in our quest to encourage every vote!
